Devani isn't trying to be an email tool; it's a clean front door to the one you already configure in Mailchimp.

Mailchimp isn't the cheapest, the fanciest, or the most developer-friendly email tool. It's the one most people already have. The integration exists because when someone building a Devani site asks "where does my newsletter go?", Mailchimp is the most common answer. Supporting it natively covers the largest slice of users with the least friction.
If you use a different provider (ConvertKit, Buttondown, Beehiiv), most of them accept submissions from a standard HTML form — you can drop that into Devani directly without a dedicated integration. The native Mailchimp wiring is just the most-used path made smooth.
